Mission

The Shell Center for Sustainability's mission is to foster an interdisciplinary program of research, outreach, and education to address actions that can be taken to ensure the sustainable development of communities' living standards, interpreted broadly, to encompass all factors affecting the overall quality of life.
Suzanne Mayne

Suzanne Mayne

Director Environment & Sustainable Development
KBR

Ms. Mayne currently serves as the Global Director of Environment and Sustainable Development for KBR. Her team provides leadership and technical support to business units and projects globally in the development of environmental and sustainability programs and best practices. She chairs the Sustainable Development Committee, a global team whose charter is to recommend and support the implementation of strategy and initiatives to a cross-business unit steering committee. She also serves as an Advisor and mentor to the Houston Chapter of the IMPACT, KBR's young professionals' organization. On behalf of KBR, Ms. Mayne participates in the Center for Houston's Future Quality of Life committee and the Houston Regional Sustainable Communities Environmental Technical Advisory Group. She is a Fall 2009 graduate of the Center for Houston's Future Leadership Forum. Ms. Mayne holds a B.S. in Geological Sciences from the University o Texas in Austin and has more than 30 years experience in implementing and managing environmental programs within the federal, state and local government and energy sectors.
