Mission

The Shell Center for Sustainability's mission is to foster an interdisciplinary program of research, outreach, and education to address actions that can be taken to ensure the sustainable development of communities' living standards, interpreted broadly, to encompass all factors affecting the overall quality of life.

John Frey

Sustainable Innovation Technologist

John Frey leverages his 20 years of global experience in sustainability and IT efficiency to develop technology solutions that allow HPE’s customers to solve complex business challenges, particularly in the areas of power/cooling, resource efficiency, and IT optimization.  He shares his expertise in energy efficiency, lifecycle design, sustainable supply chains, climate impact, stakeholder engagement, and portfolio differentiation with HP customers, stakeholders, academia, and government officials around the globe. Prior to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Mr. Frey held technology leadership roles with ARCO, Boeing, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, and NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. Mr. Frey earned a Bachelor of Science in Safety Engineering and a Master of Divinity. He is currently a candidate for a doctorate in Missional Leadership.
