Mary Margaret Hamilton is the Social Investment Specialist for UA. In her role since February 2009, she assures that we are “strategic good neighbors” at our UA sites. Prior to this role she spent six years as the Environmental Social Investment/Sustainable Development Manager for Shell Oil Company, Houston, TX, where she managed Shell’s environmental partnerships, including those with TNC, the Shell Marine Habitat Program and the Louisiana Wetland’s initiative, which includes the World Sponsorship of the America’s WETLAND Campaign, as well as numerous environmental stakeholders relationships, including our relationship with the Wildlife Habitat Council. Hamilton previously served as Senior Government Relations Manager for the Port of Houston and as Manger of Government Affairs for Columbia Gulf Transmission, as well as operating her own law practice. Hamilton holds an undergraduate degree from Florida State University, Tallahassee, with a double major in Government and Criminology, and a law degree from South Texas College of Law, Houston. She is a member of the Texas Bar, Florida Bar and numerous industry groups.
