The Shell Center for Sustainability's mission is to foster an interdisciplinary program of research, outreach, and education to address actions that can be taken to ensure the sustainable development of communities' living standards, interpreted broadly, to encompass all factors affecting the overall quality of life.


November 9, 2010  -  Sustainability Pay$ - The Copenhagen ExperienceSustainability Pay$ - The Copenhagen Experience. This workshop presents some of the best examples to reflect on the path Denmark has followed to make it the most energy efficient country in the EU. The morning session presents a focus on the municipalities that are leading the way to carbon neutrality and in the afternoon hear about the business case and the technology to assist in implementing these practices allowing Denmark to reach its aggressive goals. October 5, 2010  -  Land Use Conference - Creating A Better Future For The Houston Region

September 3, 2010  -  Video Competition - A Land Use Video

Entries for the Land Use Video Competition, "Houston's Land Use" are due September 3, 2010. The top finalists will be recongnized at the conference, Sustainable Land Use, on October 5, 2010. The winner will receive a cash award. Read about the project and get the prospectus .
