The Shell Center for Sustainability and the Kinder Institute present the Houston Sustainability Indicators (HSI) 2012 Fall workshop series.

The HSI Project (HSI) was designed to generate facts and measure how well Houston is doing in terms of development, and to agree on the things that matter most as Houston pursues sustainable development.

The HSI project is a comprehensive overview of sustainable development in Houston and we are inviting everyone to participate in this project. Participants will gain access to resources on sustainability and will directly contribute to the development of the project through interpretation and feedback on the indicators.

In October, three workshops will take place. Each workshop will focus on one of the three key areas of sustainability: Society, Economy, and Environment. Experts in these areas will come together to discuss each of the 25 sustainable development indicators by area. They will prioritize concerns and identify policies and programs for future actions.

Everyone can participate through the project's social media network:

 Blog          Facebook          Twitter: @HoustonSIndicat

On November 28, 2012, everyone is invited to the Public Presentation of the HSI findings. All events take place at the Rice University Campus. This presentation is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.
