The Shell Center for Sustainability's mission is to foster an interdisciplinary program of research, outreach, and education to address actions that can be taken to ensure the sustainable development of communities' living standards, interpreted broadly, to encompass all factors affecting the overall quality of life.

Conference Transportation

The Houston's Air Research conference takes place in the Shell Auditorium located at the Jesse H. Jones Graduate School of Management, at McNair Hall. To get to the conference you can:

1. Walk to Baker Hall. (see campus map)

2. Use the Rice campus shuttle. (see "Getting Around Campus")

3. Ride a bike. The closest bike parking is available in the perimeter of McNair Hall, Baker Hall and the Ley Student Center. (See map below)  Don't forget to lock your bike and obey traffic rules.

4. Ride a bus or catch the rail. Visit Metro's Trip Planner for more information.

5. Carpool or drive and park in the under-ground garage at McNair Hall. Day rate is $11/entry at automated gate (credit card only, no cash or check). Credit card or cash at the Pay Station machines.
